Nailah Jefferson

Nailah Jefferson is a New Orleans-based filmmaker, best known for her 2014 documentary Vanishing Pearls, about the aftermath of the 2010 BP Oil Spill. The film was distributed by Ava DuVernay's distribution company ARRAY. Jefferson also directed Plaquemines, a narrative feature film about the nuances of Black life in southern Louisiana.
