Stephané Alexandre

Stephané Alexandre is a Black British producer and emerging director/writer of Ghanaian descent from South East London.

Stephané recently finished her feature directing debut, LOVE, LANRE, with writer Kay Jegede’s GANGS OF LAGOS (Amazon). The film is set for release in 2025.

Her previous directing work includes an episode of Comed Central's DRUNK HISTORY: BLACK STORIES with Sheila Atim and Amma Asante, multiple episodes of Amazon Prime’s WHERE ARE YOU FROM, FROM series, and various commercial and branded projects.

Her directorial debut was THE PERFECT KNIGHT, which she also wrote and produced. It was shown at the S.O.U.L Fest (an ABFF partner festival), Essence Film Festival, BBC Comedy Festival, Aesthetica Film Festival, St. John's International Women's Film Festival, and the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival 2024, among others.

In 2024, she shadowed the director of the season finale of Peacock's BEL AIR. She also shadowed on CBBC’s production SO AWKWARD ACADEMY and took on a second unit director role as part of the BBC C&E Diversity Fund program.

As Series Producer for Viacom’s DRUNK HISTORY: BLACK STORIES, her work contributed to the series winning a Broadcast Digital Award for ‘Best Short Form Format’. Additionally, the BET and My5 music documentary series THE EVOLUTION OF BLACK BRITISH MUSIC received the Royal Television Society’s ‘Arts Category’ award and is currently available on NETFLIX.
